I started working on a quilt, MY FIRST quilt. I am doing a denim/flannel rag quilt. I almost have all the squares cut out, still need 32 squares of denim but I have cut up all of our ripped out jeans. Trying to find some more jeans without buying them. My squares are 6x6 and I need 192 squares of each denim and flannel. I ended up buying some flannel at Wal Mart last night to finish cutting the squares. I drew out my pattern on paper and I want to the flannel squares to make sense a bit, so they are in a pattern of sorts. I can't wait until I can start sewing it all together!
Last night I tried my hand at signing one of the squares of denim. I have MINIMAL sewing skills so I decided to just do a D and a heart for DeHart. I am going to try to do 2013 on another square.
I know it isn't that great of a picture, but I took it with my phone (hence the shadow on the picture). But I think I did an alright job with it. I don't know how to cross stitch or any of that so just stitched it.
